No, it's a legitimate question. Boys raised in an all-female environment do tend to turn out more feminine, as far as behaviors are concerned. Sexual identity, however, is something different. The influence of role-models is sometimes overlooked, but there is an environmental component to sexual identity. A weak or nonexistent masculine role model is going to impart a different set of idealized norms, for the same reason that crude and crass parents turn out crude and crass kids.
