The boy I like lives kind of far away. How can I talk to him more?

He lives about 20 minuets away from me, and my mom wouldn't drive me I know. The only time I see him is at the mall on fridays and we don't usually talk much because we have separate friend groups. I don't think he has a phone. How can I talk to him more; and outside of the mall? I talk to him on facebook once and a while, but I seem like a creeper. Advice please? Also, how can I flirt with him without being to obvious? We're both bi, it's not like I'm trying to get with a straight guy so don't ask if he's straight. Thanks.
