Why did my ex hug me like this?

Before I left he gave me this hug.....it was long and it just seemed tighter than normal. I pulled away first but realized he was still hugging me. Then hes like ok let go of me, like he wasnt the one holding onto me. Then he gave me a second hug before I left and said when do I get to see you again. It was cute. I was happy, but why is he doing this. He has a boyfriend,,,,,yes he is bi. But he has told me he is only bi for me:) please help though, and the way he looked at me was all dreamy and like he just loved me. I could see it, i dont know how to explain it. Help!
